Emerald Ash Borer Informative Hike

On June 3, Dan Herms, chair of the Department of Entomology led an educational hike on the Emerald Ash Borer impact on the ash trees at Wooster Memorial Park and the nation. Dr. Herms is a recognized national expert and researcher on the EAB and shared his knowledge and experience with 15 participants. He answered questions ranging from, "Will the EAB return to attack new trees once all of the affected trees have died?" (YES) to "How do you spell 'phellem' and 'xylem'?" It was a great learning experience for all."
